Produced by Headlong and Century Films, BBC drama series Unprecedented was conceived, written, filmed and produced in lockdown. Rehearsals took place over Zoom; props, costumes, lighting and set were sourced or made by the cast themselves, and the series was shot in homes across the country using digital conferencing technology.

The plays respond to the radical way we have seen our world change during the coronavirus pandemic, featuring 50 of the UK’s most celebrated actors including Gemma Arterton, Lennie James, James Norton, Alison Steadman, Rory Kinnear.

The series premiered on the BBC in May 2020
